We reached our first "Uh-oh" moment after less than a mile in the canyon. We came upon at least a 200 foot drop with no obvious way down. We ended up climbing (hand-over-foot in some cases) up the slope on the south side of the canyon and eventually slid our way down a smaller wash/drainage to make it to the canyon bottom. There were other "uh-oh's" that were much smaller.
