Halloween on Maui

Note to self: if you're going to snorkel at Black Rock between the hours of 11 and 1, make sure you put sun block on your whole back...not just your shoulders. Ouch.

We had a lazy morning today and didn't leave the condo until 11 o'clock or so. We decided to head to Kapalua Bay to snorkel and swim, but the sea was too rough today. The beach was closed. So we went up to D.T. Fleming Beach...same story. Only surfers out. Finally, we went back to old faithful...Ka'anapali Beach. We swam at the same beach we stayed on 4 years ago and saw the same building. The water was great.

Speaking of rough seas: our condo is 12 feet from the ocean as they advertise. Problem with that is that when the sea is rough, we get a lot of water breaking over the sea wall lining the property. Well, we actually got some water on our lanai and about 6 inches against our sliding glass door. Some of it seeped through and we had a little cleaning to do. Crazy.

Tonight we're going to enjoy the Halloween activities in Lahaina. Should be fun.
