Why can't I golf every day?

Another good day on the golf course. I hit nine holes this morning at Glendale, a local golf course about 1 mile from my office. A co-worker and I had a 7:22am tee time so we could get back to work at a reasonable time.

It's not a very long course and the par is 36. I ended with a 48, which isn't bad, but not great. This round was very much Dr. Jekyll vs. Mr. Hyde. The first two holes were a par 4 and a par 3. After I completed those holes, I had a 15. I was supposed to have a 7. Not a great way to start. But then I hit par on 4 of the next 5 holes, then triple bogeyed again (stupid foolish putting), and then hit par on the final hole. I've never hit pars like this before. And my last round was the first time I'd ever birdied a hole, let alone 2!

My overall score didn't reflect my improvement, but I'm this close (can you see my fingers?) to being consistent. A rough start, but really a decent golf game. Wohoo!
