Go Cougars!

Abby had a friend over all day last week. Abby and Sienna are the same age, played soccer together, and are in Sunbeams together. Sienna's mom is also the 1st counselor in the RS presidency while Jen is the 2nd. I've played basketball and softball with Sienna's dad for the last two years (since we've moved in the ward) and he's quite the ball player. Point of the story: we've gotten to know them pretty well.

The only problem with this family is their need to cheer for the Aggies of Utah State. I guess someone has to...

One side note: people who attended or grew up around USU sure hate BYU. It's almost like they were born and raised to hate BYU. The Book of Mormon has a verse that totally applies: Alma 17:15. The USU folks have grown up and heeded the vain traditions of their fathers and really have no reason to hate BYU so much other than the fact that their parents taught them so. Sad tale. I have a co-worker who is just like this. The funniest thing is that us BYU fans don't have any hard feelings about USU folks. It's more like indifference. Our rivals are the U of U.

Anyway... while Sienna was over at our house for the day, Jen took advantage of the situation and convinced the 4-year-olds to dress up like cheerleaders and say "Gooooo Cougars!! Go BYU!!" Their actions are forever etched in digital video and in our records. Maybe now Sienna will have seen the light and come over to it some day. One down...many more to go.

Ah, I've got a good wife.

Ha. Good job Jen. I can just see her dressing them up and saying, "Ok. Say, Go Cougars!"

They dressed up by themselves...and Abby by default says "Go Cougars" when she is cheerleading. I just got Siena to say it too...and pulled out the camera!
