Well, we finally did it. We got a flat panel LCD television. We've been wanting one for a few years now, but have been holding off because it didn't make sense. Well, I'm not sure one of these ever makes sense. But we were patient and paid cash for this baby!
We got a Vizio 42" 720p LCD flat panel television from Sam's Club for $897. It has a built in digital tuner so we get all the digital stations being broadcast over the airwaves. We get all our local channels, plus digital-only channels we didn't get before due to our analog tuner. And we don't have cable / dish, so whatever is free is what we get. It's pretty sweet.
The cool thing is that all the major networks (CBS, ABC, NBC, and Fox) all broadcast their sporting events in high definition. If I could get remarried, I think I just may have found my suitor.
Oh, and Jen is every bit as gaga over this fella as I am.

Now all you need to do is hook your computer up to it. I use someone elses computer and think, "Something is wrong," and then I remember that nothing is wrong...we just have a huge computer screen!
Just how big is that baby?
I was really in viewing heaven last night. Between 10 and 11 pm, one of the local PBS stations (I now have about 6 or 7 because of digital versions) showed "Violent Hawaii" (a Nature show) in HD. On my TV, it was awesome!
Our computer monitor is our TV so it is huge. I love it.
You look drunk on tv.
Jester, this does not contribute to making New Year's goals of fitness and health.
Dr. Sidwell
Dr. Sidwell, I have no such goals. Fitness and health is a constant effort for me. I don't need any new year to start! You saw my chiseled body!
Sweet TV!
