Go Jazz

I've lived in Utah for 14 years now. I moved here from Indiana and used to follow the Pacers (Rik Smits - the Dunkin' Dutchman - and Reggie Miller!). But my allegiance to the Pacers quickly diminished and has shifted over to the Jazz.

Over the last few years, I've attended half a dozen Jazz games, some even in luxury suites thanks to a connection on Jen's side of the family. But I've really grown to love watching the games when they are on TV. Luckily, 41 of the 82 games they play are on broadcast TV (I don't get cable) so I get to see plenty of games.

The Jazz are an interesting bunch. They do exactly what every coach warned us against: play to the level of their competition. The Jazz will beat the Hornets, or Mavs, or Lakers, but then lose to the Heat or T'Wolves. And they can't win on the road!

With the guys they've got now, they have a great chance to do more damage like they did last year (Western Conference Finals). But I'm not sure they're truly ready for prime time.
