Well, we finally have a front yard installed. I put the details on my family's blog (and I'm too lazy to repeat it here).
The sod itself (1,000 sq. feet) ran me $300 from BioGrass. But the entire project cost me about twice that once you consider the tool rentals, RoundUp to kill the old stuff, and nearly $200 in sprinkler system expansion. Total price of the entire project from last July to yesterday: $587.

Looks nice!! I am glad you no longer just have dirt in the front and maybe Macee would like this grass!
