Camping in the Uintas
I went camping this weekend with two of my brothers (Adam and Lance). We went up the Mirror Lake Highway in the Uintas to the Bald Mountain Trailhead -- 10,759 feet. From there, we hiked about 3 miles in to Bench Lake to set up a primitive camp. The three mile hike actually takes you down a few hundred feet from the trailhead.
We had a great time relaxing, cooking over an open fire, fishing, exploring, and taking lots of pictures. The weather was perfect, but a little cold at night. We woke up to frost covering our sleeping bags and backpacks. We even watched about a dozen different bighorn sheep navigate the steep rock Notch Mountain across the lake from our campsite. On the way out, we spent a few minutes at the Provo River Falls, another pretty cool place.

What a great trip! Nice way to make some good memories too! Sorry it was so cold though. That's the quickest way to ruin a good camping trip. The pictures look great! Glad you had fun!
In reference to your first photo...
Is your jersey number 30 or is that your age?
kl
Funny you should mention that: 30 was my baseball jersey number in high school...
Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing :)
