Boo to the colors and insignias, but yea to the tree and what it was made out of.

Happy Trees
We went to the Festival of Trees in the Sandy Expo Center last Friday night. Some friends in our church ward had a daughter dancing as part of the entertainment and we went to see her as well as the trees. I'd never been to the Festival before and if I go again, I for sure will go at a time less crowded. It was fun to see all the decorated and donated trees that sell for tons of money as a fundraiser for Primary Children's Medical Center (where my brother is right now as I type...). Some of the ones we liked or noticed:
My mom works with the guy who made this gingerbread house. It's a replica of the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni House on BYU's campus.
A magnificent gingerbread castle. Lindsey, I saw your post and had to post ours too!
And finally, a short video courtesy of Abby. She likes the camera and the piano, so she melded the two together for this nugget. Merry Christmas.

Hey Clarks!
Thanks so much for coming to see Grace Dance! I know that if you blinked you might have missed it, but she was so excited to know that you guys were there to see her :)
I am sorry I didn't see you while she danced, I was looking for you but with half a million people there (I think thats a pretty accurate estimation) it was hard to see around through the crowd.
Merry Christmas!
How fun and sweet of you to go and support your friends. Now that's a great and true friend. Abby did a great job in her video clip. Is she taking piano lessons?
I'm so glad you that she let you video her because she is usually so shy whenever we ask her to play. Maybe she'll be the great pianist we are still waiting for in this family???
Isn't the Festival of Trees just magnificent?? Our friend, Janie Shelton, made a tree (actually 3) for Ammon a few years ago. She used the theme of Charles Dickens "The Christmas Carol" and had Tiny Tim's little wooden crutch there. The trees were all related but very different. They were so amazing!
I could have been up there doing some volunteer work because some women from our office went up, but I wasn't sure what would be going on with Ammon so I didn't go.
It's a great event, that's for sure!
Mom
Fun pictures and Abby - great job!
What a budding star Abby is! Keep up the good work!
I wish we would have made it to see all the trees, and since it's only a few blocks from the house, we probally should have. :) Man, I will be glad with all the training is over!
