Talent Show

Last week for Family Home Evening we had a lesson on talents. Just like I was told my entire life, we told our girls not to hide their talents and to rather share them with others. We went around the room and asked them what they thought their siblings and parents' talents were. We got a long list for each talent, although I'm not sure my talent of "Watching SportsCenter" counts...

After a week to practice and think about it, we had a talent show tonight for FHE. Each of us shared a talent or two in front of the family. Here's what we did:
  • Jen and Leah did the line dance from Hannah Montana
  • Jen touched her tongue to her nose (Leah, incidentally, can do it, too. I can't even come close)
  • Abby did a cartwheel
  • I played a piano piece from David Lanz called "Angel of Hope"
  • Lauren rolled over a few times on her side
  • Abby did a hand stand
  • Leah and I sang a duet
  • Jen made dessert...
It was great!

I LOVE that idea! I wish there was a video of it. I would love to see the girls doing all their cute talents.

Hey, all the girls in Jess' family know how to do the dance. They were singing it at the hospital. It's a pretty complicated dance, too!
Great idea for FHE! I love the talents, too.
Kaitlin and I made homemade ice cream for FHE - my very first time ever in my life! It wasn't real hard but it was tasty!

Oh...I am going to steal that FHE idea. Except I am sure Bai will totally steal the spotlight. Such a performer!
