One more day...

We spent our last full "play day" on the island back at Wailea Beach. We enjoyed it so much the first time we thought it worth the 30 mile drive back to play again. The sun was out yesterday, making snorkeling even better. It was a fabulous day for playing in the water and this beach was perfect for all that. The best snorkeling we've done on the island was out on the left edge of the beach where those rocks jut out into the ocean. We saw dozens of fish species, plus we were treated to being able to swim with two large turtles. The first one we saw was probably 4-5 feet in diameter. We were snorkeling well out into the ocean and around the rocky point seen in the pictures. This beach is such a gentle slope that you could go out a quarter mile and probably still be in 60 feet of water.

We did a bit of shopping last night at the Lahaina Outlet Stores and found a bunch of things to bring home for decent prices. Jen got a pink girly sweatshirt. She sure looks tan in this picture.
