Baby #3 is coming...

Looks like we're going to have the first child in either of our families born in February! Jen visited the doctor today and they scheduled the induction for Feb. 27, 2007. That's 2-27-07. Leah was born 5-25-05. Kinda funny, eh?

Even funnier is our little unwritten rule about our kids' names. We chose Abby Elizabeth as our first child's name and Leah Christine as our second. The first names have no sentimental value, but both middle names do. Both also have 4 letters in their first name and 9 letters in their middle. I promise that was unintentional. However, now that the precedent is set, I've been working in ways to have it followed! So, here's what we're kinda considering: Emma Katherine. Both these names mean something as I've got Emma's in my blood and I have a sister named Kaitlin and Jen has a sister named Katie...Katherine is a good compromise, right?

I love the name. I'm excited for you to have your baby and to see how cute she is. Hang in there Jen! It's so close.

I guess our name choice is nowhere near final. Jen wasn't too sure about Katherine last night. Looks like we're back to the books.

Hi guys - good luck on Feb 27th - sorry I won't be able to be there to come and suppoert you.
How come Jen's being induced? Does she normally get induced? Hopefully Adam will be able to make it up.
Emma is very cute and goes well with Abby and Leah. You still have a few days to decide!

I like the recent updates to your blog! Good luck with the delivery Jen! We'll come down to see you Tues. if not before! I like the name choice because I think it fits you. I've always liked the name Emma.

Yeah!! Another little baby! I'm excited for you, Jen, and really hope this is an easy delivery. Of course we will be up there to see her - wouldn't miss that for the world!
I love the name Emma. Jim's grandmother is probably smiling down from heaven.

Emma Katherine is out...maybe Emma Gabrielle (but Jen doesn't really care for Gabrielle...). Still stuck on the middle name.

Amy, Jen has been induced for all the kids so far. It's been doctor's choice. She's the only female ob-gyn in the hospital and as such is very busy. This is one way she can guarantee she'll be there for the birth.

That's nice that Jen knows who her doctor will be.
Hey - have you guys looked through your family names to see if any of them go well as the middle name? I tried to look for you, but I'm not getting very far. Maybe Jim can help.
Good luck on that name and good luck on Tuesday.

I found 2 names to consider (if you are still searching):
Emma Susannah (Susannah is Jim's grandmother's name) - or
Emma Iola (Iola is Jim's mother's name).
Just some ideas to get your wheels spinning...

Sorry - Iola is Jim's mother's middle name...

OR...
Emma Rose (Rose is a name a few generations back...)

Man, where are you finding these names? Do you have a 4 or 5-generation pedigree chart?

We actually talked about Iola but I thought it sounded way too old to use.

I think the winner is Emma Grace Clark. We'll let you all know for sure tomorrow, but for now, that's what it's going to be.
