Washington, D.C.

I made my first ever visit to Washington, D.C. this week. I went for work reasons, but had an empty day so I saw some of the sights. I made it to the Mall and saw the Capitol, Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, and Washington Monument. One cool thing was that they were setting up the Christmas Tree on the Capitol lawn. It was cool to see them working on that fella.

It was a great trip. Can't wait to go back, but with Jen, to see more of the sights.

This is the Apollo 11 capsule. This was the vehicle that took the first moonwalker (Neil Armstrong, not Michael Jackson).
The Washington Monument was cool and enormous.

It's so interesting that there are still green leaves on the trees (top photo). No snow - doesn't look like Christmas.
I'm jealous -- I have always wanted to go to D.C.
Glad you are back and that you had a good time.

You should have come to visit me. Not that you knew I was here but I thought I'd say something since I saw that you were here.
