Cougar Diary ... part 4

Jen didn't post yesterday re: rivalry week due to the Holiday and the fact that we were away from the house for a good portion of the day.

Not to fear: Go Cougars!

My post today is about how the Cougs don't seem to win the big game. We've had a lot of good regular seasons, but not a bunch of big game success. I guy in my ward says (in reference to baseball), "Money buys you April through September. It doesn't mean anything in October."

During the last two years, BYU has lost games they should have won. Arizona, UCLA, Boston College, etc. It was very refreshing to beat Utah last year and then trounce Oregon in the bowl game. But that seems to be abnormal. For heaven's sake, before last year, Utah won the previous 5 straight BYU-Utah matchups. In some cases, BYU was the better team all season long, but choked when it mattered.

Here's to hoping that trend is reversing.
